Fresh Ginger (Sheng Jiang)

Botanical Name: Zingiber officinale Roscoe
Plant Type: Perennial herb from the Zingiberaceae family, growing 40–100 cm tall.
Other Names: Ginger Root, Bai La Yun, Gou Zhuang Zhi, Yin Di Xin, Yan Liang Xiao Zi, Fresh Ginger, Honey-Fried Ginger.
Production Areas: Grown nationwide in China.
Harvesting & Processing: Harvested in late autumn, with fibrous roots removed. Used fresh or stored in sand for later use.
